Frequently Asked Questions

The items found in our online shop are made-to-order, which means that we begin making your piece shortly after your order has been placed. It currently takes us about 2 weeks to finish and ship your item from the time that you place your order. If you have ordered a ring sizing kit, your ring will take us about 2 weeks to finish from the time that you update us on your finger size.

If you need your item before a specific date and you’re worried that it won’t arrive in time, please contact us to ask if we can get it to you before that date.

If you live in North America: Once your item has been shipped you should receive it within 2 to 10 days.

If you live outside of North America: Please contact us to find out how long it will take for your parcel to arrive.

Shipping to destinations outside of North America:

Packages are shipped by either Canada Post/your country’s postal service, or by FedEx, all of which include a tracking number and insurance. We ship to many European countries, Australia, and New Zealand. Some countries outside of these require that you contact us for a shipping quote. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes/fees that may apply, including VAT. Casavir Jewelry cannot be held responsible for delays due to shipping carrier problems or customs.

We want to simplify your online ring buying experience and get you wearing a ring that fits properly. That’s why we provide 1 free resize with all of our rings. This includes wooden engagement rings and other rings that cannot be traditionally resized. All that we require is that you send the original, unaltered ring back to us within 60 days of receiving it, and cover the costs of shipping.

Please keep in mind that when resizing wood engagement rings or wood wedding bands, the original piece of wood will have to be removed and then replaced with a new piece. This likely isn’t something that your local jeweler will be able to do, so you will need to send the ring back to us to have it resized.

For rings that can be traditionally resized, it may be easier for you to take it to a local jeweler to have its size altered. If you are unsure of your size, please take advantage of our ring sizers, which are offered free with the purchase of any ring.

Please see our page on ring sizing for info on how to be accurately sized.

Yes! Please use our contact page if you would like to request a custom order or if you have any questions regarding a custom made piece.

Yes. However, there are some materials that cannot be used.

We can use:

  • Wood for inlays.
  • Loose stones to be broken down and inlaid, including sand and shell.
  • Most faceted gemstones.

We cannot use:

  • Your precious metals to be melted down and made into a new ring. Most jewelry gold is alloyed, which means that it is made up of a mixture of gold and various other metals. Melting and reusing gold alloys can be problematic, and may cause pitting, brittle metal, discoloration, and cracking in a newly cast piece.

For more info, please see our Incorporate Your Own Materials page.

Our wooden rings are made with metal cores, which allows you to wear a piece of wood while taking advantage of the strength of metal. The wood is protected with a marine grade resin, and as long as the finish is maintained, this type of ring can last for a very long time.

Yes, our wooden rings are waterproof provided the resin finish is maintained and doesn’t become damaged. If you find that the resin is damaged enough to expose the wood, it may be time to send the ring back for refinishing.

The terms “lab-grown” or “lab-created” refer to gemstones that are man-made instead of mined from the earth. They are real minerals that are chemically and physically identical to their earth-mined counterparts. For example, a lab-grown diamond is a real diamond, but it is made in a lab with equipment that reproduces diamond forming conditions within the earth.

Yes, we accept returns on all products except custom designed orders (where the customer worked with us to design a new piece of jewelry); jewelry that is set with a diamond larger than .30 carats; rings that have been resized; and jewelry that has been purchased through a financing plan. See our policies page for more info.

Yes, our jewelry comes with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty, which includes free refinishing on any piece that is protected by a resin finish (wood inlays, crushed stone inlays, etc.). Please see our warranty page for more info.
