However, natural wood on its own requires protection to withstand the rigors of daily life. To ensure your ring lasts, our wooden bands are handcrafted using strong metal cores and protective borders. By inlaying the wood within a metal channel, rather than making the entire ring out of wood, the natural material is protected from direct impacts, daily abrasions, and structural stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are wood wedding bands durable enough for everyday wear?
Yes, provided they are made correctly, and a little extra care is taken (see directly below). We do not make rings entirely out of wood, as solid wood bands are not as durable as wood and metal bands. Instead, we handcraft our rings by securely inlaying the wood into a solid metal foundation. The metal core absorbs the structural stress of everyday wear, keeping the wood protected.

How do I care for a wood wedding band?
While our wood rings are finished and sealed with a strong resin, a little extra care is required to keep your ring in good condition. The resin finish is waterproof, provided it remains intact and undamaged. With that being said, it is best to remove your ring prior to prolonged water exposure, such as doing the dishes, showering, swimming, etc., just to be on the safe side. As is true with any ring, it is also a good idea to remove it prior to engaging in any activities that could potentially damage it (weight lifting, heavy mechanical work, gardening, etc.). The resin finish is highly chemical resistant, but we recommend removing the ring prior to exposing it to harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners in order to maintain its protective finish and polish.

Do you work with customer provided wood?
Absolutely. We regularly make rings with wood that a customer has sent us. Where do your wood wedding bands ship?
