This 14k white gold ring is made with ancient kauri wood. It is set with five diamonds that weight a total of .30 carats.

Ancient kauri are prehistoric kauri trees (Agathis australis) that were buried and preserved in peat bogs between 30,000 and 50,000 years ago on the Northern Island of New Zealand. Some of these trees were nearly 2000 years old at the time of their burial, and had trunks that were 40 feet in diameter and 200 feet tall. The trees were buried as forests, and there is much speculation regarding the cause of their burial; theories range from tsunamis and hurricanes, to volcanic shock waves and meteor impacts.
